With a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Adult
Development and Aging from UC Davis plus a background in Occupational
Therapy, I am able to select, grade, and adjust an activity,
exercise or yoga pose to meet the needs of the individual. I am a
registered yoga instructor with 400 hours of study, a graduate from
the 2005 & 2009 Yoga Teacher Training at The Bo Tree. Over the
past 6 years I have taught Prenatal Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Slow Flow and
Yoga for Healthy Backs & Neck. I instruct elementary school
children, high school and college athletes, as well as adults, with specialization in beginners and mature adults. My focus is on
improving the aging body. I am also an ACE certified Personal
Fitness Trainer for land and water and have instructed group fitness
classes and individuals for 13 years. In my yoga classes, I
provide practical, innovative and safe ways to simultaneously
challenge and celebrate balance, strength and flexibility through
yoga.
